Burned is a disc-style player for YouTube playlists, published by Finrez LLC. It has no accounts, no analytics and no ads, and Finrez doesn’t collect any information about you.
What stays on your iPhone
Burned saves a few settings on your device: the playlist you burned, the name you gave it, and whether the disc is printed or a CD-R. They never leave your phone, and deleting the app deletes them.
Burned reads your phone’s motion sensors so the disc catches the light as you tilt it. On iPhone Duo it also reads the hinge angle. These readings are used on the device for that effect only. They aren’t stored or sent anywhere.
Services Burned connects to
- YouTube. Music plays through YouTube’s embedded player. YouTube may collect information as described in the Google Privacy Policy, under the YouTube Terms of Service.
- YouTube’s image servers (i.ytimg.com) supply each song’s cover art.
- noembed.com looks up song titles and artists from public YouTube links.
These requests include the video being looked up and the standard details any web request carries, such as your IP address. Burned sends nothing else.
Sharing a mix
When you share a mix, Burned makes a link that holds the playlist ID, the mix name and the current song. You decide where it goes.
Children
Burned isn’t directed at children under 13 and doesn’t knowingly collect information from anyone.
